Cities of London & Westminster MP Nickie Aiken has been promoted to Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) at the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government. In her new role, Nickie will be supporting the department’s ministerial team.
On her appointment Nickie said, “I am incredibly humbled to be appointed PPS to the ministerial team at the Department for Housing, Communities and Local Government. Given my background in local government, I’m looking forward to being able to hit the ground running in my new role.
"The department is responsible for a number of issues, including rough sleeping, business rates and housing, which are important to me and others in the Two Cities. My new role will give me a greater insight and hopefully influence in government policy decision making in these areas.
"Representing the people of the Cities of London & Westminster on local and national issues remains my top priority. As a PPS I will be able to serve our Two Cities more effectively”
