Today (22nd March) marks five years to do the day since the horrific terror attack on Westminster Bridge.

Member of Parliament for the Cities of London & Westminster, Nickie Aiken, paused in reflection to remember Andreea Cristea, Kurt Cochran, Aysha Frade, PC Keith Palmer and Leslie Rhodes, all innocent people who lost their lives in the 82-second attack. Many more were injured and have lived with the memories ever since.

In commemoration with the families and survivors, Nickie joined them for an incredibly moving ceremony and unveiling of the commemorative plaque on Westminster Bridge. Their names will forever be remembered. Nickie was honoured and privileged to pay my tributes alongside the family members of those who lost their lives. Nickie joined Florence Eshalomi MP, other Parliamentarians and invited guests at a special reception, hosted by the Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP.

Marking the day, Nickie commented,

"We cannot cower in fear of such atrocity. We must unite in determination to not give extremists of any religion or thought a voice or confidence that they can divide us. We stand united."
