Encouraging people back to central London

It is hugely important to ensure central London stays ahead of the world in its global offering. 

Doing so ensures tourists and visitors choose London, in turn supporting our local businesses, shops, and world-leading theatre, hospitality and leisure sectors.

So Nickie Aiken, Member of Parliament for the Cities of London & Westminster, was pleased to meet with Sonja Vodusek, Managing Director of The Peninsula London, a new hotel opening soon by Hyde Park Corner, adding another jewel to London’s global crown.

A luxury hotel that will do its bit to bring tourists back to central London post-COVID, with visitors spending in our neighbourhoods and seeing why the Two Cities truly are the centre of the world.

They’re also a significant employer in our area, employing hundreds of people and investing in an apprenticeship programme to give crucial skills to those wanting a global career in this industry.

It is an exciting addition to the Two Cities, and they have a lot of plans to showcase the very best of the UK.
