On 6 May 2023, the world’s eyes will be on the United Kingdom as we witness the first Coronation of a British monarch since 1953.

The Two Cities will be firmly in the spotlight as local people get together for celebrations, Westminster Abbey takes centre stage to Crown our Monarch, King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla, and the spectacular pomp and ceremony continues on The Mall and Buckingham Palace.

Nickie Aiken, Member of Parliament for the Cities of London & Westminster, is inviting everyone living in the Two Cities to design a Coronation Card. The card will be part of celebrations to commemorate this momentous occasion and send very best wishes to His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort and thank them for their service to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

The competition is open to everyone who lives within the Cities of London & Westminster constituency, and the winning design will be chosen by Nickie and made into the card to be delivered to Buckingham Palace on behalf of everyone across the Two Cities.

All you need is to design a picture on an A4 sheet of paper. Designs may be emailed to [email protected], or posted to Nickie Aiken MP, House of Commons, SW1A 0AA.

Entry is limited to one design per person and all entries must be received by 23:59 on Wednesday, 12 April. Entrants must include their full name and address.
