Citizens UK is a people-powered alliance campaigning to effect long-term change in our society.
Nickie Aiken, Member of Parliament for the Cities of London & Westminster, was delighted to meet Lucy Gardner and Daniel Mackintosh from Citizens UK and sit down with an inspiring group of health and social care students from the City of Westminster College.
We were also joined by religious leaders Dominic Robinson, Father of Farm Street Church, Lucy Winkett, Rector of St James's Church, Piccadilly and Simon Woodman, Minister of Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church.
Nickie spoke about her role as an MP, helping local people on the local and national issues that matter most, and she was pleased to hear from the students about their campaigns. They also discussed homelessness and rough sleeping, and Nickie was pleased to champion the Government’s ongoing work to support the most vulnerable people in our society.
