The Fair Shot Café is an incredible coffee shop in the Two Cities, owned by the inspirational Bianca Tavella, changing the lives of young adults with learning disabilities or autism through speciality coffee.

Their year-long traineeship programme transforms people's lives and helps them into long-term paid employment.

Nickie Aiken, Member of Parliament for the Cities of London & Westminster, has visited Fair Shot a number of times to hear about their incredible work, and she was delighted to return with the Secretary of State for the Department for Work and Pensions, Mel Stride MP, to show him how exceptional Bianca and the team are.

If you're out and about in Covent Garden, please pop in, pick up a coffee or cake, and support this fantastic local business.

Following the visit, Nickie said,

"I'm here in Covent Garden with Mel Stride, who is the Secretary of State for the Department of Work and Pension. I brought him here to the Fair Shot Café, which is run by Bianca Tavella, who is a brilliant young woman who is supporting young people with learning difficulties and autism into work. Mel, what was your impression of the Fair Shot Café?"

Mel Stride MP, Secretary of State for the Department for Work & Pensions, commented,

"I think it's an amazing initiative. And Nickie, I'm so proud of what you've done to encourage them and to get me here today, because this is about taking people that have real barriers to getting into work, but through a very simple system of showing them how they can make great coffees and do stuff to serve customers, getting them into worthwhile employment and all the good things that flow from employment, a sense of self pride, worth, routine and so on."

Nickie added,

"So, if you need a good cup of coffee, a cake and relaxation, please pop into the Fair Shot Café in the heart of Covent Garden."
