Two Cities MP, Nickie Aiken, was invited by Kate Nicholls OBE from UK Hospitality, the industry trade association, to visit the new Raffles Hotel that has opened in the Old War Office in Whitehall following an extensive refurbishment. It opened last month and once fully operational by the end of the year will provide at least 550 new jobs.
The hospitality sector is one of the largest employers in the Two Cities and Nickie is delighted to see that several large hotels have opened recently with more to come next year, bringing thousands of jobs and visitors to the capital to support our economic growth strategy.
