That's why, listening to your views and concerns, Two Cities MP, Nickie Aiken, launched Our Plan to Make the Two Cities Safer, with a Plan for the City, and a Plan for Westminster.
As part of Nickie's regular meetings with our local police forces, she joined Commander Umer Khan and his outstanding team from the City of London Police on patrol in the City to discuss local policing and to ensure your concerns are heard directly by the police.
Nickie was pleased to hear how the City is leading the way in cracking down on phone theft, with strong action leading to thefts halving.
However, as the City is the national lead for fraud, Commander Khan raised a growing trend of Hajj fraud. Sadly, people have been duped out of tens of thousands of pounds on what they thought were tour packages for themselves and their families. We must crack down on all kinds of fraud and Nickie will be raising this directly with Ministers in Government.
