Nickie Aiken, Member of Parliament for the Cities of London & Westminster, sought assurance today in Parliament that both the EU and the UK are keen to deliver certainty and clarity for businesses as part of any future relationship.
Nickie asked an urgent question to the Paymaster General, The Rt Hon Penny Mordaunt calling on the government to confirm that delivering an attractive investment environment for professional and financial services was a priority, asserting its importance as the economy begins to recovery from the effects of Coronavirus.
In response, the Paymaster General assured Nickie that maintaining the City of London’s economic success remains a priority.
