Nickie met with local people living at Marysmith House, Westminster
Nickie with Pepys Street RTM

Cities of London & Westminster MP, Nickie Aiken, joined Vincent Square Councillors Selina Short and David Harvey to meet residents of Marysmith House, Westminster.

Nickie was concerned to hear yet again reports of poor building management by a housing provider, and she has taken their concerns up with Peabody. If you have any concerns about how your block or estate is being managed, please do get in touch. Everyone has the right to live in decent and safe homes.

Nickie also met with a group of local people in the City who are battling to stop a former restaurant from becoming a bar and nightclub. The plans would very likely cause major public nuisance and safeguarding if planning and licensing permissions are granted.

Residents of Pepys Street RTM are concerned about the plans for a 2 am nightclub which backs directly onto their homes, with bedrooms just a few metres away, and is likely to attract hundreds of patrons. Nickie has already taken up their concerns with the Corporation of London.

Nickie is always keen to meet with local amenity societies, community groups and residents’ associations. If you’re involved with a group, Nickie would be delighted to come along and meet your members; please get in touch.
