Two Cities' MP Nickie Aiken speaks out on LGBT Conversion Therapy

Earlier today, Nickie requested to speak in a Westminster Hall Debate on LGBT Conversion Therapy. Unfortunately, Nickie was not selected to take part in the debate.

Commenting on the debate Nickie said,

I had put in to speak in the Petitions Committee Debate in Westminster Hall this afternoon on banning conversion therapy. Sadly, I wasn't selected to speak, even though my constituency attracted the third-highest number of those signing the petition, over 1,200 people.

If I had been able to speak, I would have certainly backed the banning of such therapies.

I'm incredulous that they still are available in this country in the 21st century.

I'm completely against such therapies.

And I do truly believe that they should be banned and banned for good.
