The ITV News regional teams shone a spotlight on fertility treatment and Nickie's campaign to raise awareness to support those going through it.

Fertility treatment affects millions of people across the UK. Currently, employment legislation only allows time off for pregnancy, maternity, and paternity antenatal care, meaning many employers put fertility treatment in the same category as cosmetic surgery. Nickie Aiken, Member of Parliament for the Cities of London & Westminster, believes this shouldn't be the case in 2023 and her Bill, the Fertility Treatment (Employment Rights) Bill, sets out to give individuals and couples the right to take the time off for fertility treatment, just like they would have for antenatal appointments.

Each region had a different case study, and Nickie pays tribute to everyone who shared their story. This is a hugely important issue that needs to be grasped and awareness raised.
