St Mary's Hospital is hugely important. Not just to local people living in the Two Cities, but to people across London.
That's why Nickie Aiken, Member of Parliament for the Cities of London & Westminster, welcomed the Government’s confirmation of funding for the redevelopment of St Mary’s and that it is committed to getting the enabling works started as soon as possible.
St Mary’s is not just a hospital. It’s a leading provider of clinical care, education and research for over 175 years. Its redevelopment gives an opportunity to take advantage of and invest in new technologies and other opportunities so that it better serves its communities and the wider healthcare system.
Nickie was pleased to speak out in the debate in Westminster Hall on the future of St Mary's. She's looking forward to continuing her meetings and discussions with Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, including her upcoming site visit with Lord Markham, and neighbouring MP Felicity Buchan MP.
