Government-funded childcare has been expanded so that thousands more parents won’t have to choose between a career and a family.
As part of the biggest childcare expansion in history, eligible working parents will have access to 15 hours of childcare per week from April 2024.
This comes ahead of September 2024's expansion to provide 15 hours of free childcare to all children from the age of nine months, and from September 2025, working parents of children under the age of five will be entitled to 30 hours free childcare per week.
