Nickie champions a registration scheme for the short-lets sector

Nickie Aiken, MP for the Cities of London & Westminster is continuing to to work to secure a registration or licensing regime for short-term letting.

Airbnb have now published their white paper which looks at how the short-term lets register should work.

Nickie fed in her views, as it's so important to enforce the 90-night rule that is legislated.

Later this year, the Government will launch its Tourist Accommodation Registration Scheme consultation on short-term lettings, and Nickie secured a meeting with Nigel Huddleston MP, the Tourism Minister who is responsible for the consultation to ensure he’s aware of the acute issue we have with landlords who ignore the 90 night rule.

They also discussed supporting central London tourism to help the thousands of jobs that are dependent on the sector.
